$138.68

$138.68 is how much we've raised so far from sales on eBay & Amazon, after eBay fees, Amazon fees, paypal fees and shipping costs. Sheesh!

I'm looking to add more fundraising directions, as this is less profitable than, say, working more hours and just donating some of my earnings. I do want to try to create a bigger base of support for Mary than just what I can afford, so will continue to direct my efforts towards spreading the word that she needs help.

WHY FUNDRAISING?

Mary is suffering from a severe case of interstitial cystitis. Essentially, her bladder's lining has lesions that allow urine to leak through the bladder lining... making it excruciatingly painful and sometimes impossible to urinate. She was sexually abused as a young child and, sadly, this appears to be a common late-in-life repercussion for her and many other women.

She is doing everything she can to heal, but has been unable to get significant relief so far. As a result, she's been unable to work, except for a brief version of a once a month class she leads.

Donations in any amount, either through Paypal or by check, will help. By collectively helping, we can ease some of the financial stress to allow Mary to focus on healing.

Also, please, please spread the word and this blog address to anyone else who you think might help.

Mary has spent her life working to create more love on earth. From extremely painful beginnings in an abusive and unloving household, she has miraculously been unwavering in her commitment to love. Learning from many spiritual traditions, psychology, and her own connection to Source (the unseen energy that many traditions call God,) she has distilled many lessons and become a great teacher.

Even now, as she's suffering with repercussions of her childhood abuse, she is feeling a deep connection to all women and girls who have been abused. She feels the true gravity of that abuse and hopes to raise awareness so that someday no one will think it is acceptable to abuse another.
